Althrocin 250

Althrocin 250 mg is an antibiotic tablet containing erythromycin, used to treat a range of bacterial infections. It is prescribed by doctors and should be taken for the full course.

• Throat and chest infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Ear and sinus infections
• Some sexually transmitted infections

Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply, helping the body clear the infection.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with a glass of water, before or after food as advised. Complete the full course even if you feel better.

• Loss of appetite
• Allergic rash rarely

Tell your doctor about liver disease, heart rhythm problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid with certain heart, cholesterol and migraine medicines due to interactions.

Store below 25 degrees C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of children's reach.
