Gluconorm P 15

Gluconorm P 15 from Lupin is a single-ingredient diabetes tablet containing pioglitazone, which belongs to a class called thiazolidinediones. It is used for adults with type 2 diabetes, often alongside other diabetes medicines or lifestyle changes.

• Improves how the body responds to its own insulin

Pioglitazone makes muscle, fat and liver cells more sensitive to insulin, so the insulin your body already makes can do its job better. This helps lower blood sugar over time rather than giving an immediate drop.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, at around the same time each day. Swallow whole with water.

• Weight gain or fluid retention
• Mild swelling in the feet or ankles
• Headache
• Increased risk of bone fractures with long use

Let your doctor know if you have heart failure, liver problems, bladder issues or a history of bladder cancer. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this without medical advice. Report any unusual swelling, breathlessness or blood in the urine to your doctor.

Store below 25 degrees C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
