Predniwel 8

Predniwel 8 from Leeford is a moderate-strength tablet of methylprednisolone, a synthetic corticosteroid. It is used to control inflammation and immune-driven conditions where a step up from very low doses is needed.

Methylprednisolone is a glucocorticoid that calms the immune system and reduces inflammation. By lowering inflammatory chemicals, it eases swelling, pain and discomfort in many tissues.

Swallow the tablet with water, preferably with or after food, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop the medicine on your own after prolonged use; the dose is usually reduced gradually.

• Greater risk of infection and stomach upset

Share your history of diabetes, high blood pressure, infections, ulcers, glaucoma or osteoporosis. Avoid live vaccines, and carry a steroid card if you take it for a long period.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in the original strip, away from heat, light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
