Tolvanol 15

Tolvanol from Knoll contains tolvaptan, a selective vasopressin receptor blocker used to manage low sodium levels caused by certain heart, liver or kidney conditions.

• Low blood sodium (hyponatraemia)
• Fluid overload in heart failure
• Adult polycystic kidney disease support
• Selected cases of SIADH

Tolvaptan blocks vasopressin V2 receptors in the kidneys, prompting the body to pass extra water without losing sodium, which helps restore healthy sodium balance.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Drink water freely when thirsty during treatment unless your doctor advises otherwise.

• Thirst and dry mouth
• Frequent urination
• Weakness or tiredness
• Raised blood sugar

Needs close monitoring of sodium and liver function. Tell your doctor about liver disease, dehydration or other medicines you take.

Keep below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place. Store in the original strip, away from children.
