About
Moxonol 0.2 tablets from Knoll contain moxonidine, a centrally acting antihypertensive that belongs to the imidazoline receptor agonist group. It is used to manage high blood pressure.
Uses
- Mild to moderate high blood pressure
- As add-on therapy when other BP medicines need support
How it works
Moxonidine acts on receptors in the brainstem that control sympathetic nervous system activity. By calming this outflow, blood vessels relax and blood pressure comes down.
How to take
Swallow with water as prescribed by your doctor, usually in the morning. Do not stop suddenly, as blood pressure may rebound. Take it at the same time each day.

- Dizziness, especially on standing
Precautions
Avoid alcohol while on this medicine. Tell your doctor about heart rhythm problems, kidney issues or if you are pregnant. Rise slowly from sitting or lying down.
