Glimestar M2 Forte

Glimestar M2 Forte from Mankind is a fixed-dose anti-diabetic tablet combining Glimepiride with Metformin. It is prescribed for adults with type 2 diabetes when a single medicine no longer controls blood sugar well.

Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea that prompts the pancreas to release more insulin. Metformin is a biguanide that reduces glucose made by the liver and helps the body use insulin better. Together they lower blood sugar from two different angles.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow with water along with or just after a meal to lower the chance of stomach upset and low sugar episodes. Do not skip meals after taking the tablet.

• Low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia)
• Nausea, metallic taste or loose motions
• Bloating or gas
• Weight changes
• Rarely, vitamin B12 deficiency on long use

Avoid alcohol. Inform the doctor about kidney, liver or heart problems and before any scan involving contrast dye. Always carry sugar candy to manage sudden low-sugar symptoms like sweating, shakiness or dizziness.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
