About
Diapride M 0.5 from Micro Labs combines low-dose Glimepiride with Metformin in one tablet. It is used in early or mild type 2 diabetes where a small sulfonylurea boost is needed alongside Metformin.
Uses

How it works
Glimepiride, a sulfonylurea, prompts the pancreas to release more insulin. Metformin, a biguanide, cuts down sugar made by the liver and helps muscles use insulin better. The two ingredients tackle high blood sugar through different routes.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, ideally with food to reduce stomach upset. Do not crush or chew the tablet and try to take it around the same time daily.
Side effects
- Low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia)
- Nausea, diarrhoea or metallic taste
- Headache or stomach discomfort
Precautions
