Product information
About
Obesave from Eris contains cetilistat 120 mg, a prescription medicine for weight management. It belongs to the lipase-inhibitor family and works inside the gut rather than on the brain, and is meant to be combined with a calorie-controlled diet and exercise.
Uses
- Used in the management of obesity
- Used to support weight loss in people with obesity-linked conditions such as type 2 diabetes
- Used alongside diet and physical activity, not in place of them
How it works
Cetilistat blocks pancreatic lipase, the enzyme that digests dietary fat. Less fat is absorbed by the body — the undigested portion simply passes out in the stools.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor. Do not self-medicate.
Side effects
- Oily or fatty stools
- Sudden or more frequent bowel movements
- Gas and stomach discomfort
- These usually settle as the body adjusts
Precautions
Not recommended in pregnancy or for anyone under 18. It can reduce absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K), so your doctor may advise a supplement. Tell your doctor about liver or kidney disease and all medicines you take. Results depend on sticking to a low-fat diet and regular exercise. Available only with a valid prescription.
Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from children.
