About
Otrivin Oxy Adult Nasal Spray from GSK contains Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride, a long-acting decongestant. Adults use it for quick relief from a heavily blocked nose.
Uses
- Blocked nose during cold and flu

How it works
Oxymetazoline narrows the swollen blood vessels in the nose lining. With less swelling, the nasal passages open up and air can move through freely for up to several hours.
How to take
Gently blow your nose, insert the nozzle into one nostril and press once while breathing in. Use as mentioned on the pack and limit continuous use to 3 to 5 days.
Side effects
- Dryness or burning in the nose
- Sneezing right after use
- Rebound congestion on overuse
- Mild headache or restlessness
Precautions
Avoid in high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, glaucoma and thyroid problems unless your doctor approves. Do not share the bottle. Not for use in young children.
