AB FLO N from Lupin is a prescription tablet for stubborn chest problems where there is both a wheezy feel and thick mucus. It puts together acebrophylline, a mild airway opener, with acetylcysteine, which thins the mucus so it is easier to cough out.

Acebrophylline is related to theophylline. It relaxes the muscles around the airways so air moves easier, and it also has a mild anti-inflammatory effect on the lungs. Acetylcysteine breaks the chemical bonds that make mucus thick and sticky, turning it into a thinner fluid that the body can clear with a normal cough.

Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water. Do not stop or change the dose without checking with your doctor, even if you feel better.
