Empashield L 10/5 mg Tablet (10 Tab)

Empashield L 10/5 from La Renon is a fixed-dose tablet that combines empagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, with linagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor. It is used in adults with type 2 diabetes when one medicine is not giving enough control.

Empagliflozin makes the kidneys pass extra sugar out in the urine. Linagliptin protects the body's own gut hormones that trigger insulin release after meals and reduce sugar made by the liver. Together they lower blood sugar in two different ways.

Swallow the tablet with water, as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Drink enough water during the day to stay hydrated.

Tell your doctor about kidney or pancreas problems, a history of pancreatitis, dehydration or low blood pressure. Watch for nausea, vomiting or stomach pain that may signal ketoacidosis and seek care quickly.
