About
Latocom Eyedrop is a prescription combination eye drop from Sun Pharma, commonly used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It typically combines a prostaglandin analogue with a beta-blocker.
Uses
- Helps lower raised eye pressure
- Used in open-angle glaucoma
- Used in ocular hypertension
How it works
The combination improves the outflow of fluid from the eye and reduces the amount of fluid produced inside it, which together helps bring down the pressure inside the eye.
How to take
Use as prescribed by your doctor, usually one drop in the affected eye(s) once a day. Wash hands before use, tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower lid and place the drop, then close the eye for a minute.
Side effects
- Eye irritation or stinging
- Redness of the eye
- Changes in eyelash growth or eye colour with long use
Precautions
Do not let the dropper tip touch the eye or any surface. Remove contact lenses before use and wait as advised before reinserting. Tell your doctor about asthma, heart problems or other eye medicines.
Storage
Store as per the label, usually below 25 degrees Celsius, away from direct sunlight. Discard the bottle within the period stated after opening. Keep out of reach of children.
