Nikoran 5

Nikoran 5 from Torrent Pharma is a heart medicine containing Nicorandil. Doctors prescribe it to control chest pain (angina) that comes during physical exertion or stress.

Nicorandil widens the blood vessels in two ways: it opens potassium channels in the muscle wall of arteries and also acts like a nitrate. This improves blood flow to the heart and reduces its workload, so chest pain is less likely.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not stop suddenly even if you feel well, as this may bring back chest pain.

• Flushing or warmth in the face
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Mouth or anal ulcers (tell the doctor at once)

Avoid if you have very low blood pressure, severe heart failure, or are using sildenafil-type medicines for ED. Inform the doctor about kidney, liver, or lung disease. Get up slowly from bed or chair to avoid giddiness.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from light. Keep the strip closed and out of reach of children.
