K Bind Powder 15g

K Bind Powder from Zydus is a potassium-binding oral powder used to help lower high potassium levels in the blood (hyperkalaemia), often seen in kidney disease.

• Treatment of high blood potassium (hyperkalaemia)
• Supportive care in chronic kidney disease
• Short-term management of potassium imbalance

The powder contains an ion-exchange resin that swaps sodium ions for potassium ions inside the gut. The bound potassium is then passed out through the stool, helping lower potassium levels in the body.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Mix the powder in a small amount of water or as advised and drink immediately. Do not mix with fruit juices high in potassium (such as orange juice).

• Constipation or, less often, diarrhoea
• Nausea or vomiting
• Loss of appetite
• Changes in sodium, calcium or magnesium levels

Tell your doctor about heart disease, high blood pressure, swelling, low magnesium or calcium, bowel disorders, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Your doctor may check your electrolytes regularly. Do not use in patients with bowel obstruction.

Store in a cool, dry place below 25 degrees Celsius, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children.
