About

Uses

How it works
Telmisartan blocks a hormone that narrows blood vessels, helping them stay relaxed. Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, eases the flow of calcium into vessel walls so they widen. Together they lower the pressure inside your arteries.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day.
Side effects
- Ankle swelling, flushing
- Dizziness, especially on standing
- Occasional headache or tiredness
Precautions
Let your doctor know about kidney or liver issues, low blood pressure, or pregnancy or breastfeeding plans. Stand up slowly. Keep regular BP reviews.
