Empacip 10

Empacip 10 from Cipla is a tablet containing empagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor used in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is also used to support the heart and kidneys in selected patients.

It blocks the SGLT2 protein in the kidneys, so extra sugar is passed out in the urine instead of being reabsorbed into the blood. This helps lower blood sugar and eases pressure on the heart and kidneys.

Swallow the tablet with water, as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Drink enough water through the day to stay hydrated.

Tell your doctor about kidney disease, frequent urinary infections, dehydration or low blood pressure. Watch for signs of ketoacidosis like nausea, vomiting or stomach pain and seek care quickly if they appear.

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
