Ovral G

Ovral G from Pfizer is a combined oral contraceptive pill with Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol. It is prescribed for birth control and certain menstrual problems.

• Prevention of pregnancy
• Regularising the menstrual cycle
• Reducing painful periods
• Treating heavy bleeding as advised

The two hormones together stop the ovaries from releasing an egg every month. They also thicken the cervical mucus and thin the uterus lining, making pregnancy unlikely.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually one tablet a day at the same time. Do not miss doses, and follow the pack schedule exactly.

• Nausea, especially in the first weeks
• Breast tenderness
• Mild headache
• Spotting between periods

Not suitable for women with a history of blood clots, severe migraine, breast cancer, liver disease or heavy smoking after 35. Tell the doctor about any other medicines you take, as many can affect this pill.

Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep the pack sealed, away from moisture and out of reach of children.
