Product information
About
Telma Beta 25 from Glenmark combines Telmisartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker, with Metoprolol Succinate, a beta-blocker. It is used in hypertension that also needs heart-rate control.
Uses
- High blood pressure with fast heart rate
- Hypertension with angina or palpitations
- Long-term heart protection after a heart attack
- Heart failure with hypertension
How it works
Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II to relax blood vessels. Metoprolol blocks beta-receptors on the heart, slowing the heart rate and reducing the force of each beat. Together they ease the heart's workload and lower blood pressure.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or after food, at the same time daily. Do not stop suddenly, as that can stress the heart.
Side effects
- Tiredness
- Cold hands or feet
- Slow heart rate
- Dizziness
Precautions
Avoid in pregnancy, severe asthma, or very slow heart rate. Tell your doctor about diabetes, kidney or liver disease. Do not stop the medicine on your own.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from light. Keep in the strip and out of reach of children.
