Cytogard OD 80 10 cap

Cytogard OD 80 from Abbott is a once-daily sustained-release capsule of Trimetazidine, an anti-anginal medicine. It is used as add-on care in people with stable angina to ease the burden of chest pain on exertion.

• Stable angina (chest pain on exertion)
• Long-term add-on therapy in ischaemic heart disease

Trimetazidine helps heart muscle cells use available oxygen more efficiently, especially when blood flow is limited. The sustained-release capsule keeps drug levels steady over 24 hours, supporting consistent symptom control with a single daily dose.

Take the capsule as prescribed by your doctor, once a day with food and a glass of water. Swallow whole; do not crush, chew or open the capsule, as this can disturb the slow-release system. Take it at the same time daily.

• Dizziness or headache
• Nausea
• Weakness or fatigue
• Movement-related symptoms in some people

Not suitable in Parkinson's disease, tremor or restless legs. Tell your doctor about kidney issues, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report any new shakiness, gait problems or unusual tiredness without delay.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Keep the strip in its pack and out of reach of children.
