Glimestar PM1 10 tab

Glimestar PM1 from Mankind is a triple-action anti-diabetic tablet that brings together Glimepiride, sustained-release Metformin and Pioglitazone. It is used in adults with type 2 diabetes whose sugar is not well controlled by two drugs alone.

• Type 2 diabetes in adults
• When dual therapy is not enough
• To improve insulin sensitivity and sugar control

Glimepiride helps the pancreas release more insulin. Metformin SR releases slowly to reduce liver sugar output and improve insulin use. Pioglitazone, a thiazolidinedione, makes muscle and fat cells more sensitive to insulin. Together they target several causes of high sugar.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water along with a meal. Do not break or crush the SR portion. Follow regular meal timings.

• Low blood sugar
• Weight gain, mild swelling of feet
• Stomach upset, gas
• Metallic taste
• Long-term: bone thinning or anaemia

Not suitable in heart failure, active bladder cancer, severe liver or kidney disease. Tell the doctor about any swelling, breathlessness or unusual tiredness. Avoid alcohol and have regular sugar, liver and kidney tests.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Keep in original strip and out of children's reach.
