Diamicron XR from Servier contains gliclazide in an extended-release form, used to help manage blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Uses

How it works

Gliclazide is a sulfonylurea that prompts the pancreas to release more insulin, helping the body lower raised blood-sugar levels.

How to take

Swallow the tablet whole with breakfast, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not crush, split or chew it. Maintain regular meals and avoid skipping them.

Side effects

  • Low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia)

  • Rare skin rash

Precautions
