About

Zomelis D from Eris Lifesciences is a combination tablet of Dapagliflozin and Vildagliptin. It is prescribed for adults with type 2 diabetes when better blood sugar control is needed.

How it works

Vildagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that helps the body release more insulin and reduce sugar produced by the liver. Dapagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that helps the kidneys remove extra sugar through urine, giving combined blood sugar control.

How to take

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food at the same time daily. Swallow the tablet whole with water and drink enough fluids during the day.

Side effects

  • Urinary or genital infections
  • Increased urination or thirst
  • Headache or dizziness
  • Low blood sugar with other diabetes drugs

Precautions

Not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Tell the doctor about kidney, liver or heart problems, frequent urinary infections, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Monitor blood sugar regularly.

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the strip in its original pack and out of reach of children.
