About
Met XL T from Ajanta Pharma is a dual combination of Metoprolol with Telmisartan. It is widely used in adults with high blood pressure when a single medicine is not enough.
Uses
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Heart and kidney protection in long-standing BP
How it works
Metoprolol blocks adrenaline action on the heart, slowing the pulse and reducing its pumping force. Telmisartan blocks the hormone angiotensin II, which would otherwise narrow blood vessels. The two work through different routes to lower pressure smoothly.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, swallowed whole at the same time each day. Do not stop suddenly even if your BP feels normal.

Precautions
Not for pregnancy. Be careful if you have asthma, severe heart block, kidney narrowing or very low BP. Stand up slowly to avoid giddiness, and keep follow-up tests as advised.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep in the strip and out of reach of children.
