Provanol Plus 5 from Intas is a prescription tablet that combines Propranolol, a beta-blocker, with Flunarizine, a calcium channel blocker. The pair is commonly used in migraine prevention.

Propranolol calms over-active blood vessels and nerves linked to migraine. Flunarizine reduces the calcium flow into brain cells that can trigger migraine attacks. Together they help fewer and milder headaches over time.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with water. The benefit builds over weeks, so do not stop on your own even if you feel better.

• Low blood pressure or dizziness

Not suitable in asthma, very slow heart rate, severe heart block or Parkinson's disease. Tell the doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding, diabetes, or low blood pressure. Avoid sudden stopping; the doctor will taper the dose.
