Midgeo 2.5 from Centaur is a low-dose tablet of midodrine, a medicine that helps raise blood pressure when it tends to drop too low on standing.

• Helps manage low blood pressure that causes dizziness on standing
• Useful for people with orthostatic hypotension

Midodrine acts on receptors in the walls of blood vessels, prompting them to tighten gently. This narrowing helps lift blood pressure and reduce the lightheaded feeling that comes with standing up.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually during daytime hours. Avoid taking close to bedtime to prevent high blood pressure while lying down. Stick to the routine your doctor sets.

• Tingling or goosebump-like sensation on the scalp
• Itchy skin, urinary urgency, or higher BP when lying down

Not for people with severe heart disease, very high BP, or kidney problems without medical advice. Avoid lying flat soon after a dose — sit up or remain upright.

Store below 25C in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and out of children's reach.
