Escipil 10 from Leeford contains escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used to support mental health conditions like depression and certain anxiety disorders.

• Depression (major depressive disorder)
• Generalised anxiety disorder
• Panic disorder, social anxiety, and OCD (as advised)

Escitalopram raises the level of serotonin, a mood-balancing chemical, in the brain. Over a few weeks this helps lift low mood, ease worry and improve sleep and energy.

Swallow with water, with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor. Take it at the same time daily. Do not stop suddenly; your doctor will guide you to taper off.

• Nausea, especially in the first week
• Sleep changes (drowsiness or insomnia)
• Headache
• Dry mouth
• Reduced sexual desire

Tell your doctor about other antidepressants, migraine medicines, blood thinners, liver or kidney issues, seizures, or if pregnant or breastfeeding. Watch for worsening mood or thoughts of self-harm, especially early on, and reach out promptly if they appear.

Store below 25 degrees C in a dry place, in the original strip, out of children's reach.
