Nexito 10 contains escitalopram, an antidepressant from a group called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). The Nexito brand is marketed in India by Sun Pharma.

Escitalopram gently raises the level of serotonin, a brain chemical involved in mood, by stopping it from being reabsorbed too quickly. Over time, this helps lift low mood and reduce anxiety.

Take the tablet with water at about the same time each day, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

• Nausea or mild stomach upset
• Sleep changes, either drowsy or restless
• Dry mouth or sweating
• Reduced sexual interest or performance

Tell your doctor if you have a history of seizures, bleeding problems, liver issues, or have ever felt suicidal. Avoid alcohol while on treatment. It can take a few weeks before you feel the full benefit, so keep in regular contact with your doctor.

Store at room temperature in the original strip, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
