Amitone 25 contains amitriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant used for depression and for several long-term pain conditions. The 25 mg strength is commonly used as the dose is built up under medical guidance.

Amitriptyline raises the levels of serotonin and noradrenaline in the brain, which helps lift mood. The same chemical changes also dampen how pain signals are processed, easing long-standing pain conditions.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually at night because it causes drowsiness. Swallow whole with water and give it a few weeks to work fully.
