Tryptomer 10 from Dr. Reddy's is a low-dose amitriptyline tablet. While originally a tricyclic antidepressant, in low doses it is widely used to help with certain chronic pain and sleep issues.

Amitriptyline is a tricyclic that adjusts the levels of brain chemicals like serotonin and noradrenaline. This can calm overactive pain signalling and lift low mood over a few weeks.

Swallow with water, as prescribed by your doctor, usually at night because it can cause drowsiness.

• Drowsiness, dry mouth, or constipation
• Blurred vision or dizziness on standing
• Weight gain with longer use

Don't stop suddenly — taper as advised. Tell your doctor about heart problems, glaucoma, urinary issues, epilepsy, or other antidepressants. Avoid alcohol. Be careful when driving until you know how it affects you.

Store below 30°C in the original strip, away from moisture and light.
