Dytor 10 15 tab

Dytor 10 from Cipla contains Torsemide, a strong water tablet (loop diuretic). It is prescribed to remove extra fluid from the body in heart, liver and kidney conditions, and to help control blood pressure.

• Swelling (oedema) from heart failure
• Fluid build-up in liver disease
• Fluid build-up in kidney disease
• High blood pressure

Torsemide is a loop diuretic. It works on a part of the kidney called the loop of Henle and stops the kidney from reabsorbing sodium and water. The extra salt and water then leave the body as urine, which reduces swelling and helps lower blood pressure.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably in the morning so frequent urination does not disturb your sleep. Can be taken with or without food.

• Frequent urination
• Thirst or dry mouth
• Dizziness, especially on standing up
• Headache
• Low potassium, sodium or magnesium
• Muscle cramps

Tell the doctor about kidney disease, gout, diabetes or low blood pressure. Get blood tests done as advised to check potassium, sodium and kidney function. Stand up slowly to avoid feeling faint. Limit alcohol.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
