Dytor 20 15 tab

Dytor 20 from Cipla contains Torsemide, a strong water tablet from the loop diuretic family. Doctors prescribe it when more fluid needs to be removed than a lower-strength dose can manage.

• Swelling from heart failure
• Fluid build-up in liver disease
• Fluid build-up in kidney disease
• High blood pressure not controlled by other medicines

Torsemide is a loop diuretic. It blocks the reabsorption of salt and water in the loop of Henle of the kidney, so the body passes them out as urine. The extra urine relieves swelling, eases breathing in heart failure and lowers blood pressure.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably in the morning so the extra urination does not interrupt sleep. Take with or without food.

• Frequent urination
• Thirst and dry mouth
• Dizziness or feeling faint on standing
• Headache
• Low potassium, sodium or magnesium
• Muscle cramps

Inform the doctor about kidney disease, gout, diabetes, low BP or sulpha allergy. Get blood tests as advised to check electrolytes and kidney function. Stand up slowly to avoid dizziness. Limit alcohol and avoid dehydration.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
