Glucobay M 50 from Zydus pairs acarbose with metformin in a higher acarbose strength. It is prescribed in type 2 diabetes for combined control of post-meal and overall blood sugar.

Acarbose blocks intestinal enzymes that turn starches into sugar, smoothing the post-meal spike. Metformin lowers sugar made by the liver and improves how muscles respond to insulin.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with the first bite of a main meal. Do not skip meals on this medicine and stick to your diabetes diet.
