Rapilif-D from Ipca pairs Silodosin, an alpha-blocker, with Dutasteride, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. The combination is commonly used in men with an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia).

• Eases urinary symptoms of an enlarged prostate
• Helps reduce prostate size over time
• Improves urine flow and bladder emptying

Silodosin relaxes the muscle around the prostate and bladder neck so urine can pass more easily, while Dutasteride lowers the hormone that drives prostate growth, gradually shrinking the gland.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Usually swallowed whole with water, with or after food.

• Reduced semen volume on ejaculation
• Dizziness, especially when standing up
• Stuffy nose or headache
• Lowered sexual desire in some men

Not for use in women or children, and should be avoided if you are or may become pregnant (handle with care if the capsule is broken). Mention any liver issues, low blood pressure, or planned cataract surgery to your doctor.
