Prazopress XL 5 30 tab

Prazopress XL 5 from Sun Pharma is a higher-strength extended-release tablet of prazosin, an alpha-1 blocker. It is generally used once the lower strength has been tried, for blood pressure or urinary symptoms linked to an enlarged prostate.

• Moderate to severe prostate-related urinary symptoms
• Specialist use in selected other conditions

Prazosin blocks alpha-1 receptors, relaxing blood vessels and the muscle around the bladder neck and prostate. This lowers blood pressure and improves the flow and ease of passing urine.

Swallow one tablet daily with water, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not crush or chew it, and stand up slowly when you change posture, especially in the first few days.

• Dizziness, fainting or low blood pressure
• Headache and tiredness
• Stuffy nose or fast heartbeat
• Swelling of ankles or feeling unwell

Discuss any heart, kidney or liver problems, low blood pressure, or planned eye surgery with your doctor. Avoid alcohol and be cautious about driving until you know how it affects you.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in the original strip, away from heat, light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
