Product information
About
Telma Beta AM from Unichem is a triple combination of Telmisartan (ARB), Metoprolol (beta-blocker) and Amlodipine (calcium channel blocker). It targets blood pressure and heart rate together.
Uses
- Hard-to-control hypertension
- Hypertension with angina or palpitations
- Heart protection after a heart attack
- Long-term blood pressure maintenance in high-risk adults
How it works
Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II so blood vessels relax. Metoprolol slows the heart and reduces its pumping force. Amlodipine widens arteries by blocking calcium entry into vessel muscle. The three lower pressure and reduce the heart's oxygen demand.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or after food. Keep to the same time each day and do not stop suddenly.
Side effects
- Tiredness
- Ankle swelling
- Cold hands or feet
- Dizziness or slow pulse
Precautions
Avoid in pregnancy, severe asthma, or very slow heart rate. Tell your doctor about diabetes, kidney or liver disease. Get up slowly to avoid feeling faint.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from light. Keep in the strip and out of reach of children.
