About
Metadon XL 50 from Leeford is a mid-strength extended-release Metoprolol tablet. The XL form releases the medicine slowly so a single tablet works smoothly through the day.
Uses

How it works
Metoprolol is a selective beta-1 blocker. It blocks adrenaline action on the heart so the heart beats slower and with less force. This reduces blood pressure and the oxygen demand of the heart.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with water, at the same time each day. Do not crush or chew. Never stop the tablet suddenly.

- Sleep disturbance or vivid dreams
Precautions
Tell the doctor if you have asthma, severe heart block, very slow pulse, low BP, diabetes or thyroid disease. Stopping suddenly can trigger chest pain or palpitations. Limit alcohol.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep in the strip and out of reach of children.
