About
Glycomet GP 0.5 Forte from USV combines Glimepiride 0.5mg with a higher 1000mg dose of Metformin in one tablet. The Forte version is used in type 2 diabetes when a stronger Metformin dose is helpful.

How it works
Glimepiride helps the pancreas release more insulin, while the higher-strength Metformin reduces sugar production by the liver and improves insulin response.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually just before or with the first main meal of the day.
Side effects
- Low blood sugar (sweating, shakiness, hunger)
- Stomach upset or loose motions
- Mild weight gain in some people
Precautions
Keep a sugar source handy in case of low blood sugar. Inform your doctor about kidney or liver issues, alcohol use, or pregnancy/breastfeeding. Do not skip meals.
