About
Ivabid 5 from Abbott contains Ivabradine, a heart-rate lowering medicine used in certain heart conditions where slowing the heart rate brings symptom relief.
Uses
- Chronic stable angina (chest pain)
- Chronic heart failure with elevated heart rate
- As an alternative when beta-blockers aren't suitable
How it works
Ivabradine works on the sinoatrial node of the heart, slowing the heart rate without affecting blood pressure or the force of heart contractions. This reduces the heart's workload and oxygen demand.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with meals. Swallow the tablet whole with water at the times your doctor advises. Do not stop suddenly without medical guidance.

Precautions
