Beniduce 4 from Macleods contains benidipine, a long-acting calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure and certain forms of chest pain.

Benidipine blocks the entry of calcium into the muscle cells of blood vessels and the heart. This relaxes and widens the blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow to the heart, so chest pain attacks happen less often.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day after a meal, swallowed whole with water. Try to take it at the same time each day.

Do not stop suddenly without medical advice. Tell your doctor about heart failure, liver problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid grapefruit juice and inform your doctor about other heart, blood pressure or antifungal medicines you take.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep tablets in the original strip and out of reach of children.
