Daxid 50 tablets from Mylan contain Sertraline, an antidepressant from the SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) family. Doctors prescribe it for several mood and anxiety conditions in adults.

Sertraline gently raises the level of serotonin, a natural chemical messenger in the brain that lifts mood and eases worry. It works by stopping nerve cells from reabsorbing serotonin too quickly, so the calming signal lasts longer.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, usually at the same time each day with or without food. Do not stop the medicine suddenly; your doctor will guide a slow taper if needed.
