Veltam-S from Intas Pharmaceuticals combines Tamsulosin, an alpha blocker, with Solifenacin, an antimuscarinic. It is used when an enlarged prostate is accompanied by an overactive bladder.

• Overactive bladder symptoms alongside BPH

Tamsulosin relaxes the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck by blocking alpha-1A receptors, easing urine flow. Solifenacin blocks muscarinic receptors in the bladder wall, calming overactive contractions and reducing the urge to urinate.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with the same meal each day. Swallow the tablet whole with water and do not chew it.

• Dizziness or blurred vision
• Nasal congestion

Avoid in severe liver disease, urinary retention, narrow-angle glaucoma, or uncontrolled stomach issues. Tell your doctor about planned eye surgery and other medicines. Stand up slowly to avoid dizziness.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius, away from heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
