Brigrel contains ticagrelor, an antiplatelet medicine used to lower the risk of heart attack and stroke in people with certain heart conditions. It is usually taken along with low-dose aspirin.

How it works
Ticagrelor blocks a receptor on platelets called P2Y12, preventing them from clumping together. This reduces clot formation in narrowed or damaged arteries.
