Migrafen from Leeford combines ergotamine, a vasoconstrictor ergot alkaloid, with caffeine. The pairing is a long-standing approach for acute migraine attacks, where caffeine is added to improve absorption of ergotamine.

• Taken at the first sign of an attack, as prescribed

Ergotamine narrows widened blood vessels around the brain that are believed to drive migraine pain. Caffeine, a mild stimulant, supports this action and helps the body absorb ergotamine more effectively.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, ideally at the very first warning sign of a migraine.

• Nausea or vomiting
• Tingling or numbness in fingers and toes
• Muscle cramps or leg pain
• Dizziness

Not suitable in pregnancy, breastfeeding, uncontrolled blood pressure, heart or circulation problems, or with certain antibiotics and antifungals. Avoid overuse, which can worsen headaches.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place, away from light and out of reach of children.
