Doxotiv 10 tab

Doxotiv Tablet from VHL (Vivek Health/VHL Pharma) contains Doxofylline, a methylxanthine class bronchodilator. It is a prescription medicine used in long-term management of asthma and chronic airway disease.

• Asthma (maintenance therapy)
• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• Chronic bronchitis with wheezing
• Breathing difficulty due to narrow airways

Doxofylline relaxes the muscles around the airways in the lungs. When these muscles loosen, the airways open up and breathing becomes easier, easing wheeze, chest tightness and breathlessness with regular use.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually swallowed whole with water at fixed times each day. Take with or after food if you have stomach upset. Do not skip or stop on your own even if you feel better.

• Nausea or vomiting
• Headache
• Fast or irregular heartbeat
• Hand tremor
• Sleep disturbance
• Stomach pain

Inform the doctor about heart problems, ulcers, fits, liver or kidney disease and thyroid issues. Avoid large amounts of caffeine. Tell the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Seek urgent help for severe palpitations or seizures.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
