Doxollin 400

Doxollin 400 Tablet from Zydus contains Doxofylline, a methylxanthine bronchodilator. It is a higher-strength prescription medicine used for ongoing care of asthma and chronic lung diseases.

• Long-term control of asthma
• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• Chronic bronchitis with breathlessness
• Wheeze from narrowed airways

Doxofylline acts directly on the muscles surrounding the small airways and helps them relax. As the airways widen, air moves through more easily and symptoms like wheeze, chest tightness and shortness of breath are reduced.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually swallowed whole with water at fixed times of the day. Try not to miss doses, and do not stop without your doctor's advice. It can be taken with or after food to lower stomach upset.

• Sleep disturbance
• Stomach pain

Tell your doctor about any heart, liver, kidney or thyroid problems, ulcers or fits. Avoid large amounts of caffeine. Inform the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Stop and seek help if you have severe palpitations or seizures.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
