Torsivac Plus 10 tab

Torsivac Plus from Prevego pairs torsemide, a loop diuretic, with spironolactone, a potassium-sparing diuretic. The combination removes excess fluid while helping protect potassium levels in the body.

• Swelling from heart failure
• Fluid retention in liver cirrhosis with ascites
• Fluid retention in kidney disease
• Resistant high blood pressure

Torsemide blocks salt and water reabsorption in the loop of Henle in the kidney, leading to brisk urine output. Spironolactone blocks aldosterone, a hormone that holds on to salt and pushes out potassium. Together they ease fluid overload and reduce the risk of low potassium.

Swallow the tablet with water, preferably in the morning. Take it as prescribed by your doctor and continue even when you feel better.

• Frequent urination
• Dizziness or low blood pressure
• High potassium in some people
• Breast tenderness or menstrual changes

Tell your doctor about kidney problems, high potassium, Addison's disease or any potassium supplement you take. Avoid sudden standing to lower the risk of dizziness. Blood tests for kidney function and electrolytes are usually needed. Inform your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place. Keep the strip in its carton, away from children.
