Naltima 50 from Intas contains naltrexone, an opioid receptor blocker. It is used as part of a treatment plan to help people stay off opioids or alcohol after they have stopped using them.

Naltrexone attaches to opioid receptors in the brain and blocks them, so opioids cannot produce a high. This breaks the reward link with drinking or drug use and supports long-term abstinence.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with water. It is most effective when combined with counselling or a recovery programme. Do not start until you have been opioid-free for the period your doctor advises, as it can trigger sudden withdrawal.

• Tiredness, joint or muscle aches
• Raised liver enzymes

Tell your doctor about all medicines you take, especially any opioid painkillers or cough syrups. Not for people with acute hepatitis, liver failure or current opioid use. Carry a card or wear an alert so emergency staff know you are on naltrexone. Avoid alcohol during treatment.

Store below 25°C in the original strip, protected from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
