Rasalect from Sun Pharma contains Rasagiline, a monoamine oxidase type B (MAO-B) inhibitor used in Parkinson's disease. It may be used alone in early disease or alongside other Parkinson's medicines.

• Eases symptoms of Parkinson's disease
• Helps reduce stiffness, tremor, and slow movement
• May smooth out off-time when used with levodopa

Rasagiline blocks an enzyme that breaks down dopamine in the brain, helping keep dopamine levels higher so movement signals work more smoothly.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Usually swallowed whole with water, with or without food, at the same time each day.

• Headache or dizziness
• Joint pain
• Indigestion or dry mouth
• Low blood pressure on standing

Tell your doctor about all your medicines, especially antidepressants, painkillers like pethidine, and certain cough remedies, as serious interactions are possible. Avoid foods very high in tyramine in large amounts and inform your doctor if you have liver problems.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place away from sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
