About

Empagreat 10 from Mankind is a strip of 10 tablets containing empagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor used in adults with type 2 diabetes. It also has a role in supporting the heart and kidneys.

Uses

  • Controls blood sugar in type 2 diabetes
  • Lowers the risk of heart problems in some adults with diabetes
  • Supports kidney function in chronic kidney disease

How it works

It blocks the SGLT2 protein in the kidneys so extra sugar is passed out in the urine rather than reabsorbed into the blood. This lowers blood sugar and lightens the load on the heart and kidneys.

How to take

Swallow the tablet with water, as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Drink enough water during the day to stay hydrated.

Precautions
