About
Bilypsa from Zydus contains saroglitazar, a dual PPAR alpha and gamma agonist developed in India. It is used to manage diabetic dyslipidaemia and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Uses
- Diabetic dyslipidaemia
- High triglycerides not controlled by statins
- Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis
- Mixed cholesterol problems in diabetes
How it works
Saroglitazar activates PPAR alpha to lower triglycerides and PPAR gamma to improve insulin sensitivity, helping both lipid and glucose handling in the body.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily at the same time each day. Swallow whole with water.
Side effects

Precautions
Regular liver function and lipid checks may be advised. Inform your doctor about liver disease, gallbladder issues or pregnancy planning.
